Frequently Asked Questions

Scrap That! scrapbooking and paper crafting kits are unlike any others in Canada. Each month we create a unique and innovative kit FULL of carefully selected high-end, double sided papers, specialty papers, premium embellishments and often include one-of-a-kind specialty and handmade items you won’t find anywhere else. We include a signature product every month for you to collect, a scrapbook layout sketch, and one technique type product including instructions and tips on how to use it. 

Our mission is to nurture your creativity by providing the best products available, at a reasonable price to get the most out of your scrapbooking budget. Each month you will receive tips and tutorials, as well as the support of our design team and our online community. 

How do I subscribe?
All of our kits and add-ons will be posted for sale in our store on the last day of each month. Alternatively, you may send an email to customerservice@scrapthat.ca indicating your subscription preference.

What are my subscription options?
Our main kit has well over $45 in product and is priced at a mere $34.99 with a 6 month subscription.
Our monthly sampler kit, containing two thirds of the main kit has over $33 in product for only $24.99 with a 6 month subscription.
Our add-on embellishment kits are packed with all kinds of delicious premium, handmade or one-of-a kind items for $17.99 each. (for those scrappers who just have to have it all!) Scrap That! does not charge any sales tax either!

Can I purchase only one kit?
Once all subscriptions have been filled, any remaining kits will be posted for sale in our store.  Main kits retail for only $37.99, and sampler kits for $27.99.

How does billing work?
Scrap That! uses PayPal for processing all financial transactions. Around the 25th of every month we will issue a PayPal money request to the email address provided. Scrap That! must receive funds 3 business days after the request is sent.  If we still have not received funds you will be sent a reminder.   If funds are not received by the date your kit  is scheduled to ship, you will be charged a $25 non-payment and cancellation fee, and your subscription will be cancelled.
Visa, MasterCard and American Express are all accepted.  Note: A PayPal account is not required to process credit card payments through PayPal.

What is included in my kit?
Main kit contents:
STANDARD - 9 papers (either double sided or specialty)
STANDARD - 3 coordinating cardstock
STANDARD - 1 bottle of stickles or liquid pearls
STANDARD - 1 package minimum of "bling" (crystals, pearls, gems etc.)
STANDARD - 1 generous pieces of lace or ribbon (1 yard each)
STANDARD - 1 set of alphas
STANDARD - quality paper flowers
STANDARD - 1 technique item and instructions (such as smooch spritz, walnut ink, chipboard, frames, transparencies, paper lace, ink pad, glimmer mist, white pen, distressing tool, small punch, stamp etc.)
STANDARD - 1 layout sketch
EXTRAS - a few little items such as brads, journaling cards, paper doilies, tags, paper flourishes, die cuts etc.

Sampler kit contents:
STANDARD - 6 papers (either double sided or specialty)
STANDARD - 1 bottle of stickles or liquid pearls
STANDARD - 1 package minimum of "bling" (crystals, pearls, gems etc.)
STANDARD - 1 generous piece of lace or ribbon (1 yard)
STANDARD - 1 set of alphas
STANDARD - quality paper flowers
STANDARD - 1 layout sketch

Embellishment add-on kit contents:
Each month we strive to create one of a kind embellishment kits that are FULL of top quality flowers, and other unique and hand crafted details such as butterflies, crochet snowflakes, journaling tags etc. that you won’t find anywhere else.

Paper add-on kit contents:
An extra set of the 9 papers and 3 cardstocks in the main kit

When will I receive my Scrap That! kit?
Our sumptuous kits will be revealed on the last day of each month, and will ship by the 10th of the following month if not before.

What are your shipping rates?
Have we mentioned our shipping rates are the lowest in Canada? We ship our kits anywhere in North America for a flat rate of $9.99.

All orders are shipped using Canada Post - Expedited Parcel Service.  Canada Post guidelines are:

Regionally - 1 to 3 business days
Canada between major cities - 2 to 7 business days 
U.S.A. - up to 14 business days between major cities in Canada and the continental U.S.A.

Can I add additional items to my shipment?
Yes! Scrap That! allows our kit club members to add items from our store at no extra shipping cost as long as all items fit into our standard box.  Scrap That! does not charge sales tax either!

Do you ship Internationally?
Yes. International customers will be billed for the actual shipping cost based on packaged weight.

SCRAP THAT! is not responsible for any duty, customs, brokerage fees or foreign taxes that may apply to shipments outside Canada.  We are not responsible for any delays as a result of clearing customs.

How do I renew my subscription?
Scrap That! will automatically continue your subscription after your initial term is completed. If you do not wish to continue your subscription, please advise us in writing of your wish to cancel at least 30 days prior so we may adjust our purchasing requirements. email: customerservice@scrapthat.ca

Renewal Bonus!
You will receive a free paper add-on kit of your choice with a 6 month renewal.

Refer a Friend Program
A good customer experience and positive testimonials are the best way for people to hear about Scrap That! kits.  To show our appreciation, we will give you a $5 store gift certificate for every person you refer that signs up for a 6-month subscription.  (cannot be applied to your own kit subscription though).  Please ask your friends to tell us who referred them so we can be sure you receive your certificate!

Do you offer Gift Certificates?
Absolutely!  Gift certificates can be purchased in the store in several denominations, as well as 6 month subscriptions.
 
Can I cancel my subscription?
If you wish to cancel your subscription, we require you to advise us in writing 4 weeks prior to the next month’s billing date.  email: customerservice@scrapthat.ca

Can I skip a month?
At this time Scrap That! does not permit kit-skipping.

Damages
SCRAP THAT! is not responsible for any damages incurred during shipping.  All inquiries and claims regarding damages during shipping must be directed to the carrier. Reminder:  Keep the original shipping container for carrier inspection.

Defective Merchandise and Return Policy
SCRAP THAT! stands behind the quality of our products and the manufacturers we represent.  Any defective merchandise will be replaced within 14 days of purchase.  Please contact us at Scrap That! Customer Service in order to receive an RMA # (Returned Merchandise Authorization number) which must accompany any returns. Merchandise will not be accepted without a valid RMA number.  Items are returned at the customer's expense.  There will be no cash refunds.
